The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics has received a new release date. The game is expected to launch on February 4 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
For those unfamiliar, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is an RPG based on the Netflix series. The TV show is a prequel to Jim Henson’s dark fantasy film The Dark Crystal, which debuted in 1982. The game was announced last fall but was delayed until 2020.
Age of Resistance Tactics has you lead a fledgling resistance and restore light to Thra. The game has 15 playable characters as the Gelfling rise up against their oppressors, the Skeksis. Among them are a number of familiar faces from the film and Netflix series including Rian, Hup, and Brea.
The game comes from indie developer Bonus XP. That’s the same studio behind another Netflix television series-to-game property: Stranger Things 3: The Game.
Age of Resistance Tactics will be available digitally for $19.99. It is currently open for pre-order at Microsoft Store, Nintendo eShop, and Steam.
