The Disguiser of Fate is a new retro-inspired JRPG

If you’re a fan of traditional 2D top-down fantasy JRPGs, you might be interested in The Disguiser of Fate.

Although it didn’t get much attention, The Disguiser of Fate launched on Steam last week. The 16-bit role-playing game features anime-drawn characters, 2D sprites, and an ATB combat system similar to classic Final Fantasy games.

The Disguiser of Fate┬ácaptures the spirit of classic JRPGs,” says Windward Birds, developer at the studio XNZONE. “Fans of the genre will find dungeons, puzzles, dialogues, and a vast world to explore.”

Apparently the game is super short, but you can pick it up right now on Steam for just $2.
