The Disguiser of Fate is a new retro-inspired JRPG

If you’re a fan of traditional 2D top-down fantasy JRPGs, you might be interested in The Disguiser of Fate.

Although it didn’t get much attention, The Disguiser of Fate launched on Steam last week. The 16-bit role-playing game features anime-drawn characters, 2D sprites, and an ATB combat system similar to classic Final Fantasy games.

The Disguiser of Fate captures the spirit of classic JRPGs,” says Windward Birds, developer at the studio XNZONE. “Fans of the genre will find dungeons, puzzles, dialogues, and a vast world to explore.”

Apparently the game is super short, but you can pick it up right now on Steam for just $2.
