A new fantasy role-playing game about nightmares, machines, and self-discovery is out now on Steam Early Access. It’s called The Donnerwald Experiment.
The Donnerwald Experiment comes from indie developer Wegenbartho Games. It tells the story of Johanna Prokuri, a scientist who lost her creativity due to a terminal disease known as the Mare Noctem.
The game features an interactive combat system with action commands, as well as many characters – all with their own goals, fears, and dreams. It looks like the game still has a ways to go, but it at least looks fairly interesting.
According to the developers, it will remain in Steam Early Access for a year to allow the developers time to finish the game. Currently, only the first chapter is available.
The full version of the game will contain five chapters in all, expanding the plot beyond the initial chapter. It retails for $7.99.
