The Elder Scrolls Online is getting optimized for Xbox Series X and S

The Elder Scrolls Online Xbox Series X optimized

Bethesda is optimizing The Elder Scrolls Online for Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and S consoles, the company announced today.

Bethesda says that they hope to “utilize the native power of the consoles to dramatically boost the game’s fidelity and performance.” Plus, this major overhaul to the game’s graphics and performance is free for all players who use Smart Delivery on Xbox Series X and S.

What improvements can you expect?

This boost enhances the visuals, including improvements to the game’s draw distance, reflections, antialiasing, and more. You’ll even be able to achieve up to a constant 60 frames per second in Performance Mode.

Blackwood Prologue

The game’s optimized version will arrive along with the Blackwood Chapter and Update 30 on June 8. By the way, Blackwood includes all previous expansions. Still, for all those anxious players, you can begin the story with the Blackwood Prologue right now.

The Prologue questline is free for all current The Elder Scrolls Online players. You will team up with Eveli Sharp-Arrow and the Dremora Lyranth to investigate a new cult’s operations. This is the perfect way to introduce you to all the stories developed in the Blackwood Chapter and set you up for the full launch in June.

Free Play Days and Sale

If you haven’t explored Tamriel already, you can try The Elder Scrolls Online out right now with the Free Play Days event that is live until April 13. Plus, you can get The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor on sale for $16.49 at the Microsoft Store. It includes the base game as well as the Elsweyr, Summerset, Morrowind, and Greymoor expansions.
