Ubisoft has announced details for the Rainbow Six North American League. The new league is scheduled to debut in late June 2020.
According to the publisher, the Rainbow Six North American League will feature two regional divisions. One division will be centered in the United States and the other in Canada. The US Division will feature eight pro team organizations competing in an offline league based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Meanwhile, Canada will join the global competition with its own Canada Division. The Canadian division consists of four teams competing online in lockstep with the US Division tournament schedule.
In addition, aspiring players will have a chance to break into the pro tier with the Challenger League. The new Challenger League consists of eight teams per region, playing online for a chance to break into the pro tier.
As for when in-person play may begin, that’s still up in the air. Ubisoft says that it is following guidelines from the state of Nevada and will host Stage 1 of the 2020 season online.
“As soon as the situation permits, we will assess any available opportunity to continue our offline Las Vegas program,” Ubisoft says.
If you’re wondering about the teams competing in the American Division, they include:
