The new True Trials Mini-Events starts tomorrow in Borderlands 3

Borderlands 3

Calling all veteran Vault Hunters! Tomorrow, a brand new series of limited-time mini-events kicks off in Borderlands 3 building up the next major seasonal event in The Revengence: Revenge of the Cartels.

True Trials Mini-Events add additional opportunities for battle-hardened players, reworking the final bosses in Proving Grounds maps, significantly improving their damage and health. Those who survive a True Trial will be rewarded. The six-week series concludes on June 24 with the return of the fan-favorite holiday event Revenge of the Cartels.

Every Thursday for the next six weeks, one Proving Grounds trial will be temporarily turned into a True Trial. Those who succeed in taking down its buffed-up boss will receive one of two Legendary items handpicked by the Borderlands 3 development team.

The weekly rewards will vary but will still contain one arm from the base game’s loot pool and another from one of Borderlands 3‘s six add-ons. To equip loot obtained from an add-on, you must own the corresponding add-on. Furthermore, regardless of how easily you finished the True Trial or how many goals you scored, the chest after each week’s True Trial will be full of Legendary pieces.

Are you ready for the trials?

The first trial – True Trial of Survival – kicks off tomorrow at 9:00 AM PT in Devil’s Razor (Pandora). The Lob and Lucky 7 up for grabs as rewards. Additional details about subsequent True Trials will be added each week to the game’s official website.

All of this builds up to the next major seasonal event in Revenge of the Cartels, where you’ll have another opportunity to stop Joey Ultraviolet and his bands of faithful goons at the opulent Villa Ultraviolet hideout. It’s one of many exciting updates coming on June 24, so be sure to check back to Game Freaks 365 for more information as we get closer to the big day.

Borderlands 3 is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Mac, Stadia, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. All Borderlands 3 add-ons can be purchased individually or as part of Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition. As always, you must have the base game of Borderlands 3 to play.
