The Outer Worlds will upscale to 4K on PS4 Pro, publisher clarifies

After a previous report claimed that The Outer Worlds would not receive any enhancements on PS4 Pro, the game’s publisher has issued a clarification.

While PC and Xbox One X are the only platforms that will run The Outer Worlds in native 4K resolution, the game will upscale to 4K on PS4 Pro from a native resolution of 1440p.

“It looks great across all platforms,” game publisher Private Division adds in a tweet addressing the initial report.

Game Freaks 365 reached out to the publisher for independent confirmation yesterday. We were pointed to the company’s tweet this afternoon. The original report came from the PC and Xbox-focused website Windows Central.

The Outer Worlds launches across PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 25.
