Players of next-gen consoles can try Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin starting today.

During today’s Tokyo Game Show livestream, the legendary Japanese publisher Square Enix announced that their next game, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, now has a release date. The new action RPG, created by Team Ninja from Koei Tecmo Games in partnership with Tetsuya Nomura (Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts), introduces a bold, fresh vision to the Final Fantasy series that will appeal to both existing and new players in March 2022.

A new RPG experience from Square Enix

Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin creates a one-of-a-kind action RPG title by combining challenging and strategic action gameplay with the universe and story of the Final Fantasy series. Join Jack and his companions as they unlock the gates to the Chaos Shrine and enter a realm of dark fantasy and exciting fights to see whether they are the Warriors of Light the prophecy foretold.

Stranger Of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin Trial Version 2

The studio also announced the release of Stranger Of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin Trial Version 2 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, an extension to the game’s initial trial version, which was released in June. Players may explore a new level of the game, the Refrin Wetlands, with a new ally, try out new fighting strategies with the addition of numerous new jobs, and face a slew of new foes.

This will also be the first chance for gamers to try out the game’s multiplayer mode. The Trial Version 2 is currently accessible until October 11, and all players who download it are invited to take part in a survey to offer input to the development team on their play experience, which will help shape the game’s result. On October 18th, you may access the survey from the Trial Version 2 menu.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin launches on March 18, 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One as a physical and digital Standard Edition. There’s also a digital-only Standard Edition accessible on PC via the Epic Games Store.
