The Worst Guns in Video Games

These are our picks for the worst guns in video games. Unlike weapons that are useful and practical, these only take up space in your inventory. The entries on this list may be any type of gun, from pistols to assault weapons. It is not ranked in any particular order.

BB Gun – Fallout 3

The Worst Guns in Video Games

BB Gun is one of the (if not the weakest) guns in the Fallout games. I’m talking about the normal variant here. It deals damage in single digits, like 4 or 7, and it’s practically useless against enemies that are big and fast. It will take more than an entire magazine to drop a Raider leader, which is a relatively easy-to-kill enemy.

PMm – S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl

The Worst Guns in Video Games

The PMm is the first weapon you get your hands on in Shadow of Chernobyl. As you can see from the image, it looks very underwhelming. And performance-wise, it’s also very underwhelming. It’s highly inaccurate and deals very low damage. Its sight is very weak and it’s difficult to aim precisely. Because of the low damage numbers, you have to reload the gun regularly. Unfortunately, the reload is also very slow. It’s best to switch to another weapon as soon as possible because this gun is hilariously bad.

Litchfield Repeater – Red Dead Redemption 2

The Worst Guns in Video Games

The Litchfield Repeater definitely isn’t the worst weapon on this list. In fact, it may be one of the better ones. There are a couple of reasons why I included it here, though. The main advantage of this repeater is its high damage. But because of its poor accuracy when firing continuously (and its fire rate is also somewhat low), it becomes a poor option for long-ranged battles where you need to quickly kill your enemies.

One of the main reasons why it’s a bad gun is because a repeater you can get way earlier in the game (Lancaster Repeater) is way better. The Lancaster Repeater’s accuracy is very impressive and its damage is only a little lower than that of the Litchfield.

Water Pistol – Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

You might’ve owned one of these yourself when you were a child. This gun can shoot water. That’s it. It can’t hurt anyone, let alone kill them. It’s a useless weapon, but it can be a useful tool. You can use it to fry up electrical communication devices in enemy camps, shutting down the whole system which is used to call for reinforcements. And it does so without making a sound, so it’s a good tool, stealth-wise. But carrying one of these into a battlefield which has armed soldiers roaming around, is not a really good idea.

Happy Bubble Blaster – Just Cause 2

The Happy Bubble Blaster is basically a bad joke. It’s a hidden gun and it takes up space as a sidearm. It shoots bubbles… Surely, many of you must’ve shot bubbles at your friends when you were young, and I’m pretty sure that the person who got shot came back unscathed. As for the game, it’s the same. It deals no damage and it’s useless, in every way.
