Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD – Activision and Robomodo’s high-def re-make of the classic skateboarding franchise – is finally available on Xbox Live Arcade.
Based on Neversoft’s original level designs, THPS HD brings back seven classic stages from the first and second games in the series. Players can choose from eight different pro skaters, including Tony Hawk’s son, Riley. In addition to the single-player “Career” mode, this digital download features four online multiplayer modes and the ability to share scores on Facebook. Finally, the soundtrack includes many of the original songs, such as “Superman” and “When Worlds Collide”.

THPS HD is slated for release on PSN and Steam later this summer; the XBLA version is the first downloadable game featured in the annual “Summer of Arcade” promotion.
