It’s a question we didn’t know needed answered. Now we’re going to ask it about every game. “Can you pet the dog?”

It started with a simple tweet: “You cannot pet the dog in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.” 127,000 followers later, Twitter user @CanYouPetTheDog has become a social media sensation.

The posts are about dogs that you can and cannot pet in various video games. For instance, you can pet the (super cute) dog in Far Cry New Dawn.
