Ubisoft’s AAA games are going to cost $70

Ubisoft’s CEO confirmed that the company is moving to a $70 price point for AAA games.

In an Axios exclusive, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that the company’s AAA games are going to increase in price to $70 starting with Skull & Bones.

November’s Skull & Bones is its first title selling at $70 for new-gen consoles, a price other publishers have begun using in recent years and that Ubisoft hadn’t previously committed to long term. “Some of the games will come at the same price as the competition. The big AAA games will come at $70,” he said.

A number of publishers have moved from $60 to $70 price points for next-gen PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S games including new titles from Electronic Arts and Sony. Ubisoft held off until now, but it looks like you are going to have to pay more for upcoming Assassin’s Creed games and more.
