Underworld Dreams is a Lovecraftian survival horror game coming to Switch

Spanish indie game studio Drop of Pixel is bringing the Lovecraftian survival horror Underworld Dreams exclusively to the Nintendo Switch. The game will be shown at Manga Barcelona on Halloween.

Underworld Dreams is a first-person psychological horror adventure in which you play as Arthur Adler, a man convicted of murder. The game has you return to the Groc House, where the murders occurred.

The story is set in the 1980s. It’s based on Robert W. Chambers’ collection of short stories, The King in Yellow, which was first published in 1895.

Drop of Pixel says that Underworld Dreams “will bring back the fear and challenges of horror classics” with a mix of puzzles, investigation, combat, and survival. The game will have several different endings.

Developed in Unity 3D, it is planned for release in early 2020 exclusively on the Switch. It is a single-player only game.
