Indie publisher Ratalaika Games launched the beautiful side-scrolling adventure game Voyage today.
The relaxing and eye-catching adventure game Voyage is out now. As we’ve previously mentioned, it looks vaguely similar in style to the popular cartoon Adventure Time.
Billed as a side-scrolling casual adventure, Voyage offers much more with its aesthetics and ongoing changing settings, following two survivors who find themselves on an unknown planet. Their travels – whether you decide to play by yourself or cooperatively – consist of many obstacles that halt and hinder their ability to progress forward.
The game is divided into gameplay, statue scenes, and murals. The gameplay is the actual journey. Statue scenes are big sisters’ personal memories. Lastly, murals tell the story of the planet and the people who lived there.
Most unique is the hand-painted, beautiful art style. The wordless narrative, non-violent gameplay, and music also draw you into the game world. Plus, work together with a friend to share the experience.
Voyage is out now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. It retails for $14.99 / €14.99. There’s a $3 launch discount on Xbox via Microsoft Store.
