Watch Dogs Legion runs in 4K at 30FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X

Watch Dogs Legion

Ubisoft has confirmed that Watch Dogs Legion runs at 30 frames per second on next-gen consoles.

The news was made during a Reddit AMA. Watch Dogs: Legion producer Lathieeshe Thillainathan confirmed that the game does not support 60FPS. However, it does support ray tracing on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

“Ray tracing, 4k, 30fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X,” the producer writes on Reddit. It’s not clear if there will be an option to disable ray tracing in favor of a frame rate of 60FPS. If there is an option, it wasn’t mentioned.

Watch Dogs: Legion releases on October 29 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. It is among the games supporting free next-gen upgrades to PS5 and Xbox Series X via Smart Delivery.

Meanwhile, the game launches on Xbox Series X and S on November 10 and digitally on PlayStation 5 on November 12. The physical version of the game on PlayStation 5 is coming out on November 24.

My Take

It stinks that the game won’t run at 60 frames per second on next-gen, but it should still be a decent upgrade over current-gen with 4K and ray tracing. What do you think? Share your thoughts with us below!
