Mafia: Definitive Edition

A new trailer out today gives us an extended look at the gameplay in Mafia: Definitive Edition.

The gameplay reveal provides a detailed overview of the core gameplay, as well as a deep dive into one of the game’s most iconic missions, “A Trip to the Country.” Developer Hangar 13’s president and chief creative officer, Haden Blackman, narrates the trailer.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is described as a “comprehensive, built-from-the-ground-up” remake of the original PS2-era Mafia. The game launches on September 25 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

My Take

The original Mafia is still one of my favorite games from the PS2 era. It’s exciting to see the game get a modern remake. Honestly, though, I would have preferred to see this running on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X!
