WB Games teases new Batman

Batman: Arkham Knight

If a teaser on social media is any indication, it looks like a new Batman game is on the horizon.

WB Games Montreal’s Twitter and Facebook accounts uploaded a logo for what appears to be its next Batman game. The logo comes with the caption “Cape sur la nuit / Capture the Knight.”

The timing seems about right, too. It’s been almost four years since Batman: Arkham VR and five years since Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight. WB Games Montreal is the same studio behind Batman: Arkham Origins.

Details are scarce so far. For instance, we don’t know the name or what platforms it will appear on, but as IGN reports:

As with the teaser WB Games Montreal released back in September 2019, it appears that these logos could points towards a new Batman game featuring the Court of Owls – despite that definitely being an eagle in this new logo. The previous tease was backed up with a tweet from original Court of Owls author Scott Snyder, with the hashtag #bewarethecourtofowls.

The Court of Owls is a secret society that kidnaps children and trains them to become assassins known as Talons. The Court of Owls is one of Batman’s more recent villains in the comic books, being introduced in 2011, and more recently becoming known as the Parliament of Owls.
