The upcoming fast-paced, twin-stick shooter West of Dead is in open beta starting today on PC and Xbox One.
The game features Ron Perlman of Hellboy and Sons of Anarchy fame as the voice of William Mason. Perlman’s character is “a dead man awakened with only the memory of a figure in black, setting in motion a chain of events with truly mythic consequences.”
The developers say that they are “evolving the twin-tick shooter genre by introducing unique tactical cover design.” You’ll be thrown into the procedurally-generated hunting grounds of Purgatory, where your skills will be put to the test.
The open beta is live now on Xbox One and Steam. It runs until February 24. So you’ll have plenty of time to try the game out before its launch later this spring. You can claim a beta key through the Microsoft Store for Xbox One and through Raw Fury’s website for Steam.
