On the software side of things, Wii games had a rout of the top 3 spots and 4 of the top 10. Wii Fit sold an amazingly large number of units at nearly 800,000. It has been out since May 2008. Also performing strong long after their launches are Wii Play and Mario Kart Wii. Left 4 Dead and Call of Duty: World at War rounded out the top 5. Even the 3+ year old Mario Kart DS and nearly 3 year old New Super Mario Bros. made the charts, displaying how strong Nintendo’s back catalogue of games truly is. The only games from January that made the charts were both EA games: Skate 2 and the poorly reviewed Lord of the Rings: Conquest.

2. Wii Play – 415,000
