We’re still months away from the Nintendo Wii launch, expected in October or November 2006, but Nintendo Power magazine is hyping the system’s launch lineup already, confirming at least six titles. The following games should be expected at the launch of the system:
Dragon Quest Swords
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Rayman Raving Rabbits
Red Steel
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
We reported before that Nintendo’s “Big Three” franchises would all make the launch (Mario, Metroid and Zelda). At least two of them will, but Super Mario Galaxy was notably absent from the list. Nintendo has said it will at least make the “launch window”. Other games expected to make the launch include Blitz: The League (which launched last fall on PS2 and Xbox), Elebits, Madden NFL 07, Need for Speed Carbon, Wii Sports, among several other, unconfirmed launch titles.
