Wizards of the Coast is celebrating Black History Month with new Magic: The Gathering cards. The set is called Secret Lair: Black Is Magic. The card drop celebrates and supports different expressions of black identity with proceeds supporting a good cause.
Each Black Is Magic set comes with seven borderless cards available in foil and or non-foil formats. A black artist illustrated each card with their own unique art style. It’s priced at $49.99 in foil and $39.99 for the non-foil edition. Black is Magic is available for pre-order until March 31, 2021.
Proceeds from each purchase benefit the game design, digital art, and game development programs of Black Girls Code. It’s an organization that empowers young women of color in game design and other coding programs.
