Visual Conceptshas managed to make the greatest WWE game in history, where every aspect of the game is improved.
2K announced today, in collaboration with Visual Concepts, that the new WWE-themed game is now available for consoles and Steam. WWE 2K222 commemorates the renowned Rey Mysterio’s 20th anniversary as a WWE superstar with a long and illustrious career in the sport.
The biggest WWE 2K22 game ever
WWE 2K22 has been completely revamped, with a new engine and gameplay, the most spectacular graphics in WWE 2K history, easy and accessible controls, many new game modes, and immersive presentation and camera angles.
“The last two years have been full of focus and passion from an incredible team at Visual Concepts who set out to create a WWE experience that delivers what fans have been asking for,” said Greg Thomas, President at Visual Concepts.
“WWE 2K22 and all its achievements are a direct result of this team’s energy and hard work on building a massive game with a long and storied history. I’m very proud both of what we have been able to accomplish with this release, and what it signifies for the bright path ahead for the WWE 2K series,” he added.
New game modes and the return of popular ones
The game also includes diversified music composed by executive soundtrack composer Machine Gun Kelly, who will be playable as a playable character in a future downloadable content pack.
Some popular game types are returning, as well as several new ones. The new game modes include:
- 2K Showcase Starring Rey Mysterio: With documentary-style gameplay, players will relive memorable moments from Mysterio’s most renowned battles during his 20-year WWE career and beyond.
- MyFACTION is a new single-player version of the popular team-building mode in which users collect, manage, and enhance a roster of WWE Superstars and Legends to form their ultimate four-person faction.
- MyRISE: From the humble beginnings of a rookie at the WWE Performance Center to the battle of becoming a Superstar to being immortalized as a WWE Legend, players carve their own pathways to superstardom.
- The industry-leading creative suite returns, featuring all-new cross-platform community creations, a highlighted creator section highlighting players and their material, and much more.
- Universe: Allows users to completely customize their WWE experiences, even down to the last detail. From brand management to premium live events, match results, rivalries, and much more.
- MyGM: In this new fan-requested option, gamers can choose from five different general managers or design their own, draft a squad, manage budgets, sign free agents, and much more.
WWE 2K22 is currently available on Steam on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Standard Edition, Cross-Gen Digital Bundle, Deluxe Edition, and nWo 4-Life Digital Edition are the four editions of the game.
