Xbox 360 Sells Nearly a Million on Black Friday

Today, Microsoft announced far more impressive numbers for their Xbox 360 console and Kinect peripheral, nearing a million units sold for the entire Thanksgiving week.

The company managed to sell 800,000 Xbox 360 consoles over the 24-hour Black Friday period in the United States. Microsoft was aided by retailers that slashed the normally $300 4GB Xbox 360 with Kinect bundle to $200. The bundle deal helped to account for 750,000 Kinects sold in the U.S. for the week. The Xbox 360 managed 960,000 consoles sold for the entire week.
