Xbox Series X logo revealed

Xbox Series X logo

We now have the Xbox Series X logo. It was revealed in a new trademark application filed on April 16.

The logo is simple, clean, and elegant. The description on the application notes that “the mark consists of the word SERIES in a vertical formation to the right of which appears a stylized letter X.”

The trademark application first appeared on Justia before it was picked up on Reddit. And this is just the latest bit of news on the next-gen console. Last month, we learned the Xbox Series X specs. The system will have eight times the processing power of Xbox One.

For its part, Sony has also revealed the specs for PS5. The PlayStation 5’s lead system architect, Mark Cerny, went a step even further and ‘deep dive’ into the system architecture. And then, of course, Sony revealed the PS5 logo at CES back in January.

We do not yet know important details about both systems. Neither Microsoft nor Sony has revealed the exact release date or price for their next-gen consoles. And the launch lineups – expected in late 2020 – are still a mystery as well.
