XCOM 2 Collection

XCOM 2 Collection is coming to Android in 2021.

The 2016 turn-based tactical strategy game was previously released on PC and consoles. It was announced for iOS, but no Android version was confirmed until now.

In a recent post, Twitter user Mosey remarked to Feral Interactive that it was “crummy” that the game would release as an iOS platform exclusive. To this, the developer only replied: “There will be an Android version next year, Mosey.” This casual announcement provided no details such as price or intended release date. However, it definitely gives Android players something to look forward to.

On iOS, the XCOM 2 Collection will cost $24.99, and Android users can likely expect a similar price. That might seem a high price tag for a mobile game. However, the bundle provides players with the complete XCOM 2 experience. It includes the full game, the War of the Chosen expansion, and three other DLCs.

XCOM 2 Collection recently came to Nintendo Switch. So if you’re more inclined to play on the go with a more traditional system, that may be a better option than the Android version.

My Take

It will be interesting to see how the game adapts to mobile devices. Considering it is turn-based, it should work just fine though. Hopefully, it will prove to be among the best offline Android games.
