Renegade Kid’s Xeodrifter finally arrives on the Nintendo 3DS eShop this week – more specifically, December 11. You may remember Renegade Kid as the developer of Mutant Mudds, one of the handheld’s earliest eShop gems.

Xeodrifter looks even bigger and better, with Metroid-inspired action and exploration. The game takes the lone space explorer to several unique planets, and looks to include upgrades and power-ups similar to other Metroidvania games. It even features the same kind of nostalgic, 8-bit visual style from Mutant Mudds.
Xeodrifter’s price is set at $9.99; look forward to a full review shortly after launch – we’re big fans of Renegade Kid, and have been looking forward to this one for quite some time.
