Eastasiasoft announced today that, after a long wait, the legendary Xuan Yuan Sword series would be available in the United States beginning today. Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is now available digitally for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, becoming the first title in this series with over 30 years of history to reach Western countries.
An action RPG set in ancient China
This combined work by Eastasiasoft, Softstar, and Domo honors the environment, civilization, and culture of ancient China. With a tale that is heavily based in ancient Chinese history and mythology, Xuan Yuan Sword 7 reimagines both as one magical and chaotic land ruled by a new Xin Dynasty.
Witness the fate of the Mohists, who believed in an ancient philosophy of logic, logical reasoning, and science that was as prevalent in China 2200 years ago as Confucianism.
To commemorate the historic success of the franchise, Eastasiasoft has shared a trailer that explores the story presented in the latest entry. You can see the game’s exotic animals, cryptic environmental riddles, old board games, and a complex battle system with summon monsters.
Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is currently available digitally for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Physical copies will be manufactured in collaboration with Maximum Games and will be available on October 12.
