Yakuza 5 Remastered is now available to download as part of The Yakuza Remastered Collection.
First announced last year, The Yakuza Remastered Collection includes remastered versions of Yakuza 3, 4, and 5. Each runs at 60 frames per second and 1080p. In comparison, the PS3 versions ran at 720p at 30 frames per second.
“All three games have gone through a rigorous re-localization process,” Sega says. “The English scripts for each game have been reviewed, revised, and even rewritten in some cases, and content previously cut from the Western releases of Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 have been re-added in The Yakuza Remastered Collection.”
According to Sega, if you’ve already downloaded The Yakuza Remastered Collection, you’ll want to check for Yakuza 5 Remastered in the ‘Not Installed’ part of your PS4 library. You can also visit The Yakuza Remastered Collection store page. It will be located under Extras or DLC. The same goes for Yakuza 4 Remastered if you haven’t already redeemed it.
The Yakuza Remastered Collection is now available digitally for $59.99. A limited run of The Yakuza Remastered Collection: Day One Edition will also be available for $59.99. It contains Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5 on two disks in a striking red collectible case emblazoned with Kiryu’s trademark dragon tattoo.
