Yooka-Laylee is getting a follow-up in the form of The Impossible Lair. The developers livestreamed nearly an hour of gameplay to give fans a taste of what’s to come.

The developer livestream focuses on the game’s tonics system. Tonics are game-modifying potions that were first encountered in the original game.

Team 17 has confirmed that more than 60 tonics can be collected in The Impossible Lair, which gives players the ability to mix up the game. For instance, may give you super speed or infinite rolling.

Other tonics are environmental or visual in nature. One such visual effect is a tonic that turns the screen green and pixelated like an old Game Boy game. It’s a neat way to change things up a bit.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is coming to out on October 9. Physical copies of the game are available for pre-order now on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It is also coming to PC as a digital-only release.
