Konami announced today that it will launch the Zone of the Enders HD Collection sometime in the fall.
Zone of the Enders HD Collection was unveiled last year – the game offers remastered versions of Zone of the Enders and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, two fast-paced mech/action games that originally appeared on the PlayStation 2.
Martin Schneider – general manager of Konami Digital Entertainment – said, “We are looking forward to bringing the legendary Zone of the Enders series to old and new fans in a high definition form.”
“We are excited to offer these games on new platforms which will allow gamers to experience the drama and action of the Zone of the Enders like they have never seen it before.”
Many gamers remember the original Zone of the Enders as “the game that came with the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo”, mostly because it was the public’s first chance to play Konami’s highly-anticipated sequel. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how these PS2 classics fare in their HD revival.
