Pochitaro and Mame from Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2

Best Pets from Video Games

Let’s first talk about Haruka’s pet, Pochitaro from Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2. Haruka and Kiryu first encounter this stray puppy being attacked by a group of goons. As reasonable people, Kiryu and Haruka find this extremely heartless treatment of the puppy to be obnoxious.

Naturally, Kiryu beats the entire group of hoodlums and rescues the dog. After feeding him and nursing him back to health, he follows Haruka and Kiryu back to the bar Serena. From here, he became one of the best friends of Haruka. She gives him the name “Pochitaro”, and he eventually makes his way to the Sunflower Orphanage and lives there with the children.

Guapo the Crocodile from Far Cry 6

Best Pets from Video Games

In my opinion, Guapo is one of the only good things in Far Cry 6. I personally disliked the game but this friendly croc made the experience a little more bearable. As a fan of crocodiles, I found Guapo’s presence in the game to be very welcoming and his support during combat was invaluable. One of my favorite things about him is how he wears a little shirt. It makes him very adorable.

BD-1 from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

This robot speaks in beeps and Cal can fortunately understand him clearly. While he’s certainly not as fluffy as Pochitaro or vicious as Guapo, BD-1 provides Cal with some much-needed company in his journeys. Despite being a droid, he looks very cute when you take a careful look at him. BD-1 is a brave and persistent droid that’s well-liked by all.

Dogmeat from Fallout 4

If you’ve played Fallout 3, you might remember a similar canine with the same name appearing in that game as well. In Fallout 4, this dog is one of the first companions you can find. He’s a very skilled tracker and it seems that he had also assisted Nick Valentine on certain detective missions. After speaking to Mama Murphy, she reveals more information about the dog, and it’s she who refers to the canine as Dogmeat.

Arachnia from Skyrim

Now, this frostbite spider may scare off players with arachnophobia, but for tolerant people, this creature will prove to be an unusual but valuable companion in your travels. It’s capable of performing a variety of attacks that could potentially give you an edge in combat.
