The FIFA World Cup is this year, both in real-life and in the EA Sports soccer game.
Electronic Arts today unveiled a new free update that is coming to FIFA 23. The FIFA World Cup 2022 update with all new additions just in time for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The new update goes live for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on November 9, 2022. Players can also experience the pinnacle of international football on FIFA Mobile beginning November 8.
What’s the FIFA World Cup 2022 update?
FIFA 23 players can choose from 32 of the nations that qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup 2022. Play from the opening matches to the final game. You can also customize the experience, changing groups or swapping out select teams that did not qualify. Online Tournament Mode lets fans compete through the Knockout Stages as any of the qualified nations, aiming for glory against other players.

FIFA World Cup: Live runs from November 21 through December 18. It is described as “a curated EA Sports World Cup experience.” EA says that they will update the game during the Group and Knockout Stages of the World Cup, “allowing players to follow along with authentic fixtures and squads for each game.” You can also rewrite history, changing the outcomes of games.
