The Nintendo Switch OLED Model is getting a special edition Splatoon 3 console.
Nintendo loves to release limited edition consoles. Back in the 1990s, they were releasing the Nintendo 64 in multiple distinct colors; they even released a Pikachu-themed N64 at the height of the Pokemon craze.
Now they are releasing a limited edition Nintendo Switch to celebrate the upcoming release of Splatoon 3. The game is coming to Switch in September while the limited edition console is coming on August 26.
Here’s what fans can expect:
Adorned with splashy, squid-tastic images straight out of Splatsville, the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model Splatoon 3 Special Edition includes a set of one blue and one yellow gradient Joy-Con controllers with white underbellies and a white, graffiti-themed Nintendo Switch dock.
The Nintendo Switch OLED Model Splatoon 3 Special Edition will retail for $359.99. It includes the OLED Model, an adjustable stand, a dock with a wired LAN port, 64 GB of internal storage, and enhanced audio. You’ll also get two Joy-Con controllers. There’s no mention of the system including the game.
