Nintendo used its media briefing to announce a few major dates on the gaming calendar this year. November 12, 2007 will see the release of Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii. Just as eagerly anticipated by gamers is Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which will come out on December 3, 2007.
A game that won’t get released in 2007 (but will in early 2008) is the newly announced Mario Kart Wii. It is a single kart version of the popular franchise, but even more importantly than it being the Wii debut, it will be online capable. Mario Kart will be joined online by Madden, FIFA and Medal of Honor from EA, Mario Strikers from Nintendo and Guitar Hero 3 from Activision. Undoubtedly, more will be announced in the weeks and months to come.
