During today’s Indie World Showcase, Nintendo revealed that Eldest Souls is coming to Switch this summer. The pixel-art boss rush game comes from indie developer Fallen Flag Studio.
The online event exclusively revealed brand new Switch gameplay footage, showcasing zones, NPCs, and the Ancient Gods players will face in Eldest Souls. The Switch version joins the previously announced PC version, which is also out this summer.
In Eldest Souls, the Old Gods have broken free from their long imprisonment, determined to wreak a terrible vengeance on all those who defied them. You play a lone knight, a great warrior, and the final hope of your civilization in the face of their wrath. Your mission: Slay them all.
However, slaying Gods is no easy task. You’ll have to prepare yourself to be overwhelmed with brutal, challenging encounters. Every encounter with the Old Gods presents a unique challenge. Claim their power, unlock new talents and abilities, and use everything at your disposal to slay them all.
