Rocket League, Hades, and Kena are on the list of games which are getting the new Epic Games Store achievements system.
One of the Epic Games Stores’ major aims is to outperform its main competition, Steam, in every way. Despite the fact that it still has a long way to go, Epic Games announced today an upgrade to its Store that would improve the gaming experience.
In the game industry, achievements systems are found on basically all platforms. Despite having a large portfolio of titles, the Epic Games Store lacked this mechanism, putting it behind its competitors. Epic’s shop will get its own award system next week, according to a press release on the company’s website.
This program will be accessible for all developers to use in order to quickly and easily activate achievements in their individual games. In fact, several titles will have it incorporated from the start, including Hades, Rocket League, Pillars of Eternity, Zombie Army 4, Kena, and Humankind.
Players will have to complete certain activities to obtain achievements, much as they do on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam. Each of them will offer a different amount of experience based on their category.
To get the platinum achievement, 1,000 points must be obtained. The following is the experience that may be obtained with each achievement:
- Bronze: between 5 and 45 experience points
- Silver: between 50 and 95 experience points
- Gold: between 100 and 200 experience points
- Platinum: 250 experience points
As with other platforms, players will be able to check their progress in each title by simply clicking on the game tab, where they will see their progress. It shows those that have been completed and those that are still pending completion.
This will be a before and after in the shop since it is the ideal motivation for players to spend more time in the store attempting to obtain all the achievements.
