Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle is free until it gets de-listed from Steam

Blue Wizard Digital has some good news and bad news. The good news is that their horror puzzle game Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle is free until January 23, 2023. The bad news is that the game is getting de-listed from Steam on that same day.

The reason for the de-listing is simple if not disappointing for fans and the developers who created the game: the licensors behind Friday the 13th did not renew their license. Therefore, Blue Wizard Digital is required to cease future sales of the game.

“We have been assured by all platforms that players who have already downloaded / purchased the game and made in-app purchases within the game will continue to have access to the content they paid for in perpetuity,” the company says.

In addition to PC, Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle was released on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS. It originally came out in January 2018. The game has received “Very Positive” user reviews on Steam.

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment this causes. It is a truly sad situation and all of us at Blue Wizard are absolutely crushed as well—F13: Killer Puzzle is a game we are so incredibly proud of,” the developer adds.
