The Game Freaks 365 Forums are back!
Long-time readers may recall that Game Freaks 365 started as a forum on a free forum host known as ProBoards (which still exists). In April 2003, the site got its own domain and became a proper early-2000s HTML-based website. We’ve been around ever since. (Yes, we’re older than YouTube.)
Although we shifted to a content management system with news and reviews, our forum community continued and grew in the years that followed. At one point, there were thousands of users. Unfortunately, in the late 2000s, it got overwhelmed with spambots and its popularity faded as social media gained steam.
Now that social media has fully matured and proven quite toxic, we thought that there was a niche for a positive gaming community to once again emerge. Thus we are bringing back the Game Freaks 365 Forums in beta.
There are a couple of things to note:
First, you will need to confirm your email address upon registration. Make sure to check your spam folder if it’s not in your inbox. Second, the forum is set up so that posts from new users require approval before they go live. So if you post something expecting it to immediately show up, just know that it will need moderator approval (if you are a new user). This is to prevent spam and toxic members.
