How to find an Xbox Series X and S on launch day

Xbox Series X and S

If you’re like most people, you probably did not get lucky enough to reserve an early Xbox Series X pre-order. Thankfully, there will be stock available on launch day.

Your best bet may be calling local stores to see if they have any stock available. Due to the pandemic, most stores likely are discouraging overnight lines that are typical with a major console launch. But depending on where you live – a rural area versus a big city – you may have an easier time.

Online retailers are also expected to carry stock, but the availability will likely be limited and vary from website to website. Amazon has dedicated product pages for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. You’ll want to keep these tabs open and refresh them throughout the day.

Here are some other retailers that we would check starting at midnight Eastern on November 10:

You may also want to check regional retailers like Meijer. If you have no luck with any of these, your last option (aside from waiting) might be eBay. Good luck, everyone! See you on Xbox Live!

UPDATE (11/10/2020 12:34 AM): We successfully ordered an Xbox Series X through the Microsoft Store app built-in to Windows 10. However, we could not get it to work through the Microsoft Store via our browser.

Did you pick up an Xbox Series X or S? Where did you buy it? Let us know in the comments!
