IBM says that they have begun shipping chips for Nintendo’s Wii. No release date is available for the system, but speculation has pinned an October or November launch, though only a “Q4 2006” release has been confirmed. “IBM said the chips use technology that will substantially boost the processing power in the Wii while using 20 percent less energy and throwing off less heat,” an article from Reuters said.
