Video game consoles have been hard to find most of the year. That’s especially true for Nintendo’s popular Switch and Switch Lite.

How long will they remain in stock? That’s hard to say, given the consistent shortages lately. Last time they were in stock, they ran out within hours. But the $199.99 system is eligible for free Amazon Prime shipping.
At least early on, the shortages seemed to be the result of both increased demand and decreased supply. Production facilities in China closed early during the pandemic. And as more people were stuck at home, interest in video games surged, exacerbating the supply shortage. Although plants have re-opened, that increased interest has continued into the summer.
