The theme park management tycoon Megaquarium launched today on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
According to indie developer Auroch Digital, Megaquarium is an economic simulation where you grow a public aquarium into a thriving attraction. You’ll fill it with hundreds of guests, staff, and nearly 100 different aquatic lifeforms including fish, sharks, crustaceans, corals, jellyfish, and turtles.
Originally released on Steam, Megaquarium features a campaign mode with ten levels in which you learn how to design and manage an aquarium. Additionally, the game contains a sandbox mode with customizable settings and a random challenge generator.
“Every decision you make in Megaquarium – your choice of animals, filters, tanks, staff, and layout – has consequences,” the developer says. “You’ll have to master both creativity and economics to make your business succeed and keep your guests happy.”
The game is available as a digital download only. To celebrate the launch, it is currently 10% off at Microsoft Store for Xbox One and Nintendo eShop for Switch. It is listed at full price at the PlayStation Store for PS4.
