Metro Exodus is coming to Steam, ending Epic Games Store exclusivity

Metro Exodus

A year after its initial release, Metro Exodus is finally about to launch on Steam.

The first-person shooter came out in February 2019 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store through a one-year timed exclusive. It was one of several major Epic Games Store exclusives that the company nabbed.

The Steam announcement was made on Twitter. The debut of the Steam version is set for midnight Eastern Time on February 15.

“Those of you that have been waiting, thank you for your passion and patience,” the tweet says. The official Twitter account also confirmed that there are no plans to launch Exodus on GOG.

Metro Exodus received positive reviews from critics. It is currently averaging an 83 out of 100 at the review aggregator OpenCritic.

In other Metro Exodus news, Google is bringing the game to its Stadia Pro service. Lastly, as Game Deals 365 reported today, the Aurora Limited Edition is now under $40 on PS4 and Xbox One.
