MLB 2K10 Predicts Giants Beat Yankees in World Series

2K Sports today announced the results of their official Major League Baseball 2K10 Postseason simulation of the 2010 NLCS, ALCS, and World Series, crowning the San Francisco Giants World Champions after besting the New York Yankees in a nail-biting seven-game series. The ALCS begins Friday, October 15 on TBS, while the NLCS begins Saturday, October 16 on Fox. The World Series begins Wednesday, October 27 on Fox.

The simulation, which used Inside Edge Data technology, predicted the Giants will defeat the Philadelphia Phillies in six games in the NLCS, while the Yankees will only need five games to get past the Texas Rangers and take the ALCS. This sets the stage for an epic World Series, where the Giants find themselves down three games to one, only to climb back and win the next three to clinch their first World Championship since 1954 – when the franchise was still in New York.
