2K Sports is releasing the NBA 2K21 demo today for PS4 and Xbox One in honor of Kobe Bryant.

The demo goes live on August 24 at 10 AM Eastern. The release is meant to honor the late Kobe Bryant, who wore the jersey numbers 8 and 24 throughout his decades-long NBA career. Today (8/24) is also Kobe Bryant Day in the city of Los Angeles – where he played for the Lakers – as well as in neighboring Orange County.

2K Sports is also honoring Kobe with the NBA 2K21 Mamba Forever Edition. The limited edition features a unique cover. Players who order the NBA 2K21 Mamba Forever Edition on PS4 also receive NBA 2K21 and 100,000 Virtual Currency for PlayStation 5 upon its release.

NBA 2K21 is coming out on September 4 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It’s also coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X later this year.
