Nintendo DS Outsells 3DS in April

Nintendo’s latest handheld, the 3DS, has hit a rough patch just a month after its launch. After seeing nearly 400,000 units sold in March (which due to its release late in the month was actually only one week worth of sales), the company only sold 194,000 units during the entire month of April. The original Nintendo DS, on the other hand, sold 257,000 units in April. That makes two straight months where the DS outsold the 3DS. March saw the release of Pokemon Black and White, spiking sales to 460,000 for the nearly seven year-old handheld.
