Capcom has undoubtedly done it again. After gaining all the positive feedback from the gaming press, and from the users who tried the Resident Evil 4 Remake demo; they consolidated the success of this remake after its release. Since Resident Evil 4 Remake in less than 48 hours has reached 3 million copies sold!

Another record that adds to the vast list that Capcom has achieved in its history. In addition to the hype behind this remake, the demo called “Chainsaw Demo” was a fundamental part of this success. Not only did players get a sneak peek of what was to come in the game, but we were able to see a lot of details and gameplay from the demo that confirmed the great job Capcom had done. (You can watch us play the demo here.)

However, like most games from legendary franchises coming out these days, Resident Evil 4 Remake has suffered from review bombing. Unsurprisingly, a large group of die-hard fans of the original game agreed on one goal: to post negative scores on Metacritic. The reason for this is the elimination of scenes, scenarios, or missions from the original game in this remake.

Despite this, the remake has been a total success. Not only did it satisfy Resident Evil fans. It also attracted a lot of new players who had never tried a Resident Evil title before. Without a doubt, hats off to this great remake, and let’s hope that future remakes in the industry take as much care as this one did.
