SEGA’s Total Warrior

SEGA of America today announced the release of Spartan: Total Warrior for the PlayStation 2, the Xbox, and Nintendo GameCube. Spartan: Total Warrior, a game steeped in richly-detailed cinematic action, represents the first console title from the award-winning SEGA studio The Creative Assembly.

Brutal combat meets epic warfare on the war-torn fields of the ancient world as gamers fight for life, freedom and honor. In contrast to CA’s Total War games which emphasized the player as commander (the General), Spartan: Total Warrior puts the player at the center of epic battles as a fighter known only as The Spartan. As an elite soldier blessed by the Gods, the Spartan is immersed in titanic clashes between mighty Roman battalions, classic mythological creatures, and skeleton armies.

“Spartan: Total Warrior offers an immersive experience bringing gamers to the center of the most grandiose battles ever seen on a game console,” said Scott A. Steinberg, vice president of marketing, SEGA of America. “Real-time combat sequences with hundreds of soldiers, living and dead, on screen underscores just one the groundbreaking technical achievements of the console team at SEGA studio The Creative Assembly.”
