Serious Fun Football launches on Steam Early Access

Serious Fun Football is out now on Steam Early Access.

Fans of soccer looking for a more casual experience may want to check out Serious Fun Football, which just launched on Steam Early Access.

According to the indie developer behind the game, Serious Fun Football offers real ball physics, realistic character movement, “sophisticated” AI, and varied footballer attributes. However, the players are not licensed. So don’t expect to play as Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.

“The game has been coming into life for the past six years,” indie developer Kamil says. “I’ve begun working on it alone, with no knowledge about game development.”

“Eventually, I had to quit my job to finish the project and started employing people. There is no investor helping us, not even any publisher. Everything was funded from private money,” he adds.

The game features 3-on-3 matches across online, offline, and co-op modes. You can expect both a career mode and friendly multiplayer matches. It retails for $9.99 on Steam.
