Electronic Arts and Maxis have announced Sims Sessions, a summer music festival that will rock the bodies of your Sims. It goes live in the game next week.
Sims Sessions is an in-game music festival that takes place exclusively in The Sims 4‘s ever-popular life simulation game. Bebe Rexha is returning to The Sims and will perform in Simlish alongside Glass Animals’ lead singer Dave Bayley and singer, songwriter, and producer Joy Oladokun to kick off the virtual show.
Simlish songs will be featured in-game for the first time in Sims Sessions, as well as in an entirely new festival format. During Sims Sessions, players can explore the event by dressing up in their best festival attire, camping out, and shopping exclusive digital merchandise featuring Bebe Rexha, Glass Animals, and Joy Oladokun.
“I’ve always been a fan of how The Sims empowers players to express their creativity with others in the game,” said Bebe Rexha. “Sims Sessions will be a fun experience for fans from around the world to enjoy music and hang with friends in a way that only The Sims can offer. I’m so excited to return to the game and also can’t wait to see the fans posting their Simlish videos of ‘Sabotage!’”
Players can also participate in a virtual #SimlishSessions karaoke challenge on TikTok with The Sims, Bebe Rexha, and some of TikTok’s most talented music personalities. For a chance to be re-posted by Bebe Rexha, members of the Simlish community will perform side-by-side duets with her and add their own spin on Sabotage, her latest single.
Dave Bayley will perform the Billboard-charting single Heat Waves from the Glass Animals discography. Joy Oladokun, a multi-faceted performer, will perform her powerful ballad Breathe Again before Bebe Rexha takes the stage and her piano to perform a Simlish version of Sabotage from her second studio album Better Mistakes. Following the conclusion of the show, players can put on their own performance with their fellow Sims on the festival stage.
The Sims Sessions is a free experience available to Sims 4 owners. For those who are new to The Sims, the game can be purchased at a discounted price before Sims Sessions begins on June 29. The in-game event runs through July 7.
